The VigiTermes project aims at improving the working environment of the pharmacovigilance staff. Tools and ressources are integrated on a knowledge management platform associated with text mining tools to improve access, analysis and documentation of case reports.

Towards a better signal detection and knowledge management in pharmacovigilance

Main partners: SPIM-INSERM, Temis, CHU-Rennes EA3888 lab, LORIA, LIM&Bio, CRPV…

Expected ROI:

• integrating Temis tools (Luxid Annotation Factory) and Rennes EA3888 web services (VigiPubMed) with CA Manager component to semantically annotate and enrich adverse drug reaction reports
• developing and proposing a pharmacovigilance ontology combined with multi-terminologies referential (Mesh, MedDRA, AFFSSAPS drugs database, WHO-ART, SNOMED CT…)
• develop several pilots to be sold to interested clients such as Merck Serona, Biomedical Journal (BMJ), Thieme,… based on the plateform developed with Temis and EA3888
